In the criminal underworld, sexually rapt drug addicts live lives that are especially heinous.
In North Delaware, the misguided degenerates who explore this irrational lifestyle are members of an unwashed group known as – The B.U.R.N.O.U.T.S. ™

The Chronicles

The B.U.R.N.O.U.T.S. Chronicles™ are putrid little stories depicting delightfully grotesque chain reactions of teenage and young adult misadventures, spawned by ridiculously absurd notions of self-worth and aspirations of future greatness.
They are comedies peppered with violence and graphic sexuality (The Sopranos on LSD meet Seinfeld on the set of Pulp Fiction).
It is the tale and life-long journey of our hero, Mahdakis, and what he encounters on the road to supposed fame and fortune. It is about trying to ‘make it’ in the big city. It is about those who succumb to, or conquer, substance abuse. It is about love and broken hearts. It is about friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. It is about vital mistakes made in the name of youth and tainted wisdom.
Overall, it is about discovering who you are while making the best of a losing hand.
While the stories themselves are overall products of my demented imagination, they do tend to run a close parallel to actual events, or at least general behavior that was……..or could have been.
The events in these novels may or may not be true; it depends who you talk to and what state of mind they are in when you do. Most of the stories are humorous exaggerations of a tragically damaged reality. Some, however, are spot on. Others are how I may have wished, or thought in my mind, how the story should have gone. Oddly enough, you’ll probably never guess which was which. I couldn’t tell you anymore myself, as the fine line between fiction and reality has become harder and harder to distinguish as the years roll on. The characters portrayed in these books also may or may not have existed. Most of them are combinations (and/or exaggerations) of actual people I knew, respected, loved, or hated with all my heart. Either way, making a lasting impression on me ’till my dying day.
While written with comedic intent, this story portrays everyday life as it was growing up in the eighties and therefore, contains portions of sexual and violent content. If you are uncomfortable or sensitive to such matters, or easily offended by topics of religion, racism, or any other ethically questionable behavior, I would strongly suggest reading samples from the PSYCHO BABBLE section, to your right, before purchasing.
